Zehntausende ertrinken pro Jahr vor der Festung Europa. Sie waren Getriebene bei dem Versuch Verfolgung, Krieg oder ihren schwierigen Lebensbedingungen in ihren Heimatl\u00e4ndern zu entkommen. Sie starteten angetrieben von Hoffnung, ein menschenw\u00fcrdigeres Leben leben zu k\u00f6nnen. Daf\u00fcr gingen sie jede Gefahr ein.
